Julian Drebit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Pyrtek, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Afonso Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Procopio Trespalacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ's Afonso Marques managed to work through Spartans Lodz's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Afonso Marques dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Procopio Trespalacios came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ's Afonso Marques. But to his dismay, Afonso Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Procopio Trespalacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Marques in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ's Apolo Valdez got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience held their breath when Iwan Ostrowski in the 64th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Julian Drebit's left hand side. In the 66thth minute of the game Samuca Campidelis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spartans Lodz's Procopio Trespalacios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Marques in the 69th minute of play forced Spartans Lodz's goalkeeper Procopio Trespalacios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ's Naum Fode was substituted for Apolo Valdez. Spartans Lodz were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iwan Ostrowski took the corner. If Iwan Ostrowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 90 played minutes Spartans Lodz got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Rasiak. Naum Fode recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Afonso Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CEARÁ ESPORTE CLUBE - DMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
