With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Victorio Garizabal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Rafael Riedl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Auer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Llope Alvaro went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Llope Alvaro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fabio Auer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Vieja Guardia Jrs. A hard shot 42 in the game by Victorio Garizabal from a close distance when the talented Fabio Auer managed to make a qualified save. Austria's players were relieved. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jonas Nalder kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. During the 70th minute of the match Fabio Schneider completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabio Schneider a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 71 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Schneider. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Garizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxin Fardi in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Seidler to maneuver through the defense. When Maxin Fardi came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the La Vieja Guardia Jrs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxin Fardi couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Javiar Andrino in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Austria's Marc Kronecker. After 94 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Christian Wallner. 95 minutes into the match, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Javiar Andrino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. La Vieja Guardia Jrs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
