Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Steve Sharp. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truman Cooley having to interfere. Marcelo Ascencio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Truman Cooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Truman Cooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Truman Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 17th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Truman Cooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Truman Cooley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Griffith got free with Arnout Reekers in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Griffith in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Adam Farris hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Truman Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Dillard to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, C. A. Independiente's Truman Cooley got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Truman Cooley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Dillard in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Truman Cooley, 0-4. When Steve Sharp fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Steve Sharp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Steve Sharp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Truman Cooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Truman Cooley, 0-5. Truman Cooley was a little too slow when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Truman Cooley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Truman Cooley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truman Cooley having to interfere. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Truman Cooley. That made the score 0-8 after 92 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C. A. Independiente.
