Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 minutes Squadra de Pippe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 5th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Squadra de Pippe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filippo Gigli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Filippo Gigli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Filippo Gigli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Filippo Gigli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play forced Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Bruno Mazzone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicu Ichimescu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Ichimescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 36th minute of play forced Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Bruno Mazzone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Mazzone having to interfere. Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 42nd minute of play. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Gijsbert ter Kruimer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. Squadra de Pippe made a substitution. Fabiano Di Martino replaced Filippo Gigli. Squadra de Pippe's Tiberiu Balint was substituted for Javier Villarreal. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Di Martino to make the kick off. Bruno Mazzone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Bruno Mazzone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 59th minute of the match. Bruno Mazzone made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Di Martino in the 67th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Squadra de Pippe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Porta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Bruno Mazzone made a huge save. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 97th minute of play forced Squadra de Pippe's goalkeeper Bruno Mazzone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands played a much better game than Squadra de Pippe and deserved their victory. The Squadra de Pippe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
