The audience thought a goal was coming when Obafemi N'Diaye got free with Keld Paulsen in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Obafemi N'Diaye dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Keld Paulsen, 2-0. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ola Pola, made in the 30th minute of the game. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dylan Verhaert in the 35th minute. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauren Seveneijnts in the 37th minute of the match. Yens Iansens charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yens Iansens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dutch Rebels booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nygaard to make the kick off. Ola Pola made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. In the 52nd minute of the match, Chris Nygaard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adam Vermeiren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 67th minute, Dylan Verhaert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dutch Rebels made a substitution. In the 88th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bertram Svenningsen struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Adam Vermeiren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. The Dutch Rebels players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
