A well-hit corner resulted in Kees Mooiweer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prosper Vandamme during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
