But to his dismay, Wes Carragher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 69th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Jumel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Danny Jumel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Puja, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Netherlands's Bas Tuitert seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bas Tuitert the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bas Tuitert had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Netherlands! Netherlands:s Arnout Reekers showed great skill when he stopped Edvin Tinglöv:s penalty. Edvin Tinglöv did an outstanding performance 81 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Arnout Reekers in the goal. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Jumel having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Carragher in the 94th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Danny Jumel in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Gloucester City AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
