Keld Paulsen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stein Van Eyke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stein Van Eyke in the 19th minute. In the 23rd match minute, Fc Rossem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Vereect to maneuver through the defense. Matias Colebrants showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Bjarne Kirkegaard fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bjarne Kirkegaard a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a great ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fc Rossem's Stein Van Eyke got a free kick in the 40th minute. The supporters of Fc Rossem booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarne Kirkegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Fc Rossem's Crispijn Deprez tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Denmark's Keld Paulsen got control of the ball when Stein Van Eyke tried to sneak it across the goal line. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Crispijn Deprez was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc Rossem's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Leo Engelborgh to score against Keld Paulsen in Denmark's goal. 2-0 after 48 minutes. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lou Cromefeldt was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Denmark booed when Fc Rossem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remi Van Beringhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lou Cromefeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Lou Cromefeldt came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lou Cromefeldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Fc Rossem's supporters rose to their feet, but Stein Van Eyke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th match minute, Fc Rossem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibo Cromefeldt to maneuver through the defense. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Matias Colebrants didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. In the 96th minute, Simon Bendtsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute Lou Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fc Rossem's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
