Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chris Nygaard made the kick off which started today's match. In the 9th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye YR Mechelen's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by YR Mechelen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. Chris Nygaard made a great header on Denmark's corner, it was just that YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 16thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got free with Keld Paulsen in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denmark's attentive Lars Steen managed to snatch the ball when Leo Van Mechelen made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andries Van Mechelen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul-Louis Van Mechelen to strike the kick off in the second half. When Leo Van Mechelen fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored YR Mechelen's protests and gave Leo Van Mechelen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Leo Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 60th minute. Mikkel Wulff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andries Van Mechelen having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andries Van Mechelen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andries Van Mechelen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Leo Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diederik Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Denmark booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolphe De Maerschalckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute of play was well struck, but Andries Van Mechelen made a really good save at the right post. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Andries Van Mechelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andries Van Mechelen saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. After 81 minutes YR Mechelen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chris Nygaard who took care of the corner kick. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by YR Mechelen's Tuur Candries. But to his dismay, Tuur Candries quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 89 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Terry Van Houdtvinck. Paul-Louis Van Mechelen struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YR Mechelen. When Chris Nygaard fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Chris Nygaard a yellow card for diving instead. Chris Nygaard kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
