After some careless play in the ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Nuñez. The ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Nuñez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 10th minute of play forced ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goalkeeper Jose Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes of play, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Costin Ivasiuc made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Nuñez having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Jose Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Pelayo. When Matias Gipuzkoa came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Gipuzkoa couldn't finish the play. Jose Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 44th minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Nuñez having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. The ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Baldomiro Laurgain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Ferran in the 60th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Nuñez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugo Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 74th minute. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Jose Nuñez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jose Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 85th minute of the match. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ made a substitution. Epifanio Gomez replaced Matias Gipuzkoa. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jose Nuñez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Camilo Ferran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
