Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Allan Corrigan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Allan Corrigan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Themos Leontiadis struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panionios MK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 9th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alketas Bourouselos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takacs Tibor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Themos Leontiadis came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Panionios MK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Themos Leontiadis couldn't finish the play. Themos Leontiadis might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Themos Leontiadis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute Themos Leontiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes Panionios MK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Balazs Lajos made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Panionios MK's Alketas Bourouselos managed to reach the ball for a save. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Szekeres Tamas with Takacs Tibor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Balazs Lajos came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balazs Lajos couldn't finish the play. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alketas Bourouselos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Allan Corrigan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fanis Salepis charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fanis Salepis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Fanis Salepis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alketas Bourouselos made a huge save. In the 55th minute, Antal Valentin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alketas Bourouselos, passed just outside the right post. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thodoris Petalidis charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thodoris Petalidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd match minute, Panionios MK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thodoris Petalidis to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alketas Bourouselos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panionios MK's Fanis Salepis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Szekeres Tamas, made in the 66th minute of the game. In the 70th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szekeres Tamas to maneuver through the defense. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alketas Bourouselos came out and tried to block the shot, but Balazs Lajos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 83rd minute. Panionios MK's attentive Filippos Nioplias managed to snatch the ball when Szekeres Tamas made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. With a little luck, Panionios MK's Alketas Bourouselos got control of the ball when Balazs Lajos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hungary played a much better game than Panionios MK and deserved their victory. The Panionios MK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
