After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Egbert Nijveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jose Nuñez quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Nuñez came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Pelayo scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jose Nuñez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Jose Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Baldomiro Laurgain sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Baldomiro Laurgain took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Arnout Reekers to make any attempt to save it. Jose Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Jose Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jose Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 45th minute of the match. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Jose Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 52nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
