Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vasile Blănaru started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Blănaru got free with Fodor Daniel in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 3 minutes into the game, Vasile Blănaru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fodor Daniel. Vasile Blănaru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Karol Czempa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 16th minute of play. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 17th minute of play. Progresul Pitesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 33rd minute of the match, Vasile Blănaru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 38th minute, Antal Valentin made a precise shot to the right of Martin Tudor. Progresul Pitesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Vasile Blănaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timmie Deinse charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmie Deinse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Timmie Deinse got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Martin Tudor made a huge save. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Blănaru in the 57th minute of the match. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Major Barna's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Martin Tudor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 65 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Timmie Deinse. Martin Tudor made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 71st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Takacs Tibor heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Hungary's Antal Valentin came free and shot a quick shot against goal 75 minutes in the game, fortunately Martin Tudor had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 76th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Tudor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Czempa in the 81st minute of play. Major Barna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin Tudor came out and tried to block the shot, but Major Barna slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 89th minute of play forced Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balazs Lajos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 minutes, Szekeres Tamas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hungary and the Progresul Pitesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Katona Janos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
