After some careless play in the SHIZUOKA FC defense, Denis Dostal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Azeari. The SHIZUOKA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Azeari should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Denis Dostal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alfredo Azeari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Denis Dostal notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SHIZUOKA FC's Alfredo Azeari. Alfredo Azeari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute, Alan Rezek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Dostal during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Erik Jilek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Czech Republic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 31 minutes into the game, Erik Jilek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Alfredo Azeari was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SHIZUOKA FC's Teodoro Bermudo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Daniel Vitek, made in the 39th minute of the game. Alfredo Azeari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Rezek in the 41st minute of the match. Alfredo Azeari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Jilek went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. After the first half Czech Republic were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Jilek was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Azeari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Jilek in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Teodoro Bermudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Bermudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Dalimil Charvat made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Daniel Vitek immediately put the ball in play. Alan Rezek made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SHIZUOKA FC's Mario Abreu. Dalimil Charvat made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kvetoslav Janku. Svatopluk Capek made in the 77th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Denis Dostal immediately put the ball in play. Czech Republic's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erik Jilek in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Jilek came free, but Alfredo Azeari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Azeari stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Jilek's shot from short distance in the 90th minute.
