Aldo Casos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Rito having to interfere. In the 7th minute of the match, Aldo Casos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cayetano Rito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paulopolis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Próspero Imaz was slow to take the kick. During this time Capo de Provincia's players had a chance to rest. Alexis Byers was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The attack was good, but when Aldo Casos in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 14th minute Aldo Casos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio Freire hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Próspero Imaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Paulopolis's Sílvio Luís Mello got a free kick in the 25th minute. Cayetano Rito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Casos in the 26th minute. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Paulopolis from getting a goal against them. When Aldo Casos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 31 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cayetano Rito was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Marcel Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Zamora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Capo de Provincia's Cayetano Rito threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aldo Casos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Aldo Casos came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Capo de Provincia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Casos couldn't finish the play. Aldo Casos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cayetano Rito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Capo de Provincia booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Aldo Casos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paulopolis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Próspero Imaz was slow to take the kick. During this time Capo de Provincia's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcel Vieira made a kick off. In the 57th minute Aldo Casos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's Aldo Casos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cayetano Rito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexis Byers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cayetano Rito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 63rd minute when Aldo Casos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Marcel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Capo de Provincia's attack was well implemented in the 70th minute, but when Aldo Casos was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Aldo Casos got in the 70th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cayetano Rito handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Aldo Casos got free in front of the goal in the 72nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Cayetano Rito was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Aldo Casos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cayetano Rito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Aldo Casos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marcel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Casos in the 85th minute of play. Aldo Casos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Juan Riquelme got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Aldo Casos got free in front of the goal in the 97th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Cayetano Rito was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Paulopolis succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Capo de Provincia had controlled the match.
