Egídio Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Neto in the 3rd minute of the match. Aírton Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Zé Carlos Neto scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egídio Matorin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cláudio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Rocha in the 23rd minute of play. If Zé Carlos Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fiori Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. New Loser FC's Cláudio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Rocha in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Valdomiro Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Loser FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Encanto the free kick. Valdomiro Botelho hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Cláudio Maranhense was a little too slow when Ricardinho Lopez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Egídio Matorin made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Zé Carlos Neto sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Fiori Paraibano took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Egídio Matorin to make any attempt to save it. Betão Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Betão Sena hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Neto in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Matorin saved Encanto from getting behind. Egídio Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Zé Carlos Neto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Egídio Matorin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to New Loser FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Fiori Paraibano hit a great ball. Zé Carlos Neto struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Egídio Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Loser FC. 73 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Costa came free, but Cláudio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Osvaldinho Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encanto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
