Diego Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Simão came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cayetano Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Félix in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sílvio Luís Mello hit a great ball. When Marcel Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paulopolis's protests and gave Marcel Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bastioes EC booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Rito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adalberto Félix went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Enio Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
Cayetano Rito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Norberto Simão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play.
