The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Couto in the 6th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manole Tăcutu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurinho Couto went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Raimundo Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Jardim acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cezar Berevoescu. Maurinho Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Berevoescu to maneuver through the defense. Manole Tăcutu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Couto in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Tande came free, but Manole Tăcutu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Tande in the 29th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manole Tăcutu came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Cristo Rei's Toninho Tande. But to his dismay, Toninho Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leo Jardim made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Victor Arseanu sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Victor Arseanu made the kick off in the second half. Flavius Mahonea hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, Atlético Cristo Rei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Maurinho Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Cristo Rei's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manole Tăcutu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Arseanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Tande in the 68th minute of play forced -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 79 minutes on the clock, Costică Stoleru commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 79 minutes into the game, one of -BZF- Valea Buzăului:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Atlético Cristo Rei a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felippe Sena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu. 0-3. In the 85th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Berevoescu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Valea Buzăului's zone, Felippe Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Tăcutu came out of the goal and Felippe Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezar Berevoescu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Manole Tăcutu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Felippe Sena sent off a good shot on target. 94 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's goalkeeper Manole Tăcutu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toninho Tande. Manole Tăcutu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Tande in the 98th minute of play. Atlético Cristo Rei's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
