Paulo Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anacleto Beat in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Eustaquio Errolan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Paulo Mattos came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Ayuntamiento CF's Anacleto Beat. But to his dismay, Anacleto Beat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. André Luís King could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Vicente Berto made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson de Senna in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Berto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinicio Lopes's late challenge caught a Itajaí Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinicio Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Itajaí Football Club booed when Real Ayuntamiento CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position.
