Jannich Brolyng came out of the goal and Gustave Parisse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Gerhardt Borgqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Labbeville booed when Saco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederick Burnell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sébastian Wendling came free, but Jannich Brolyng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djibril Barbieux received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Labbeville the free kick. Jannich Brolyng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sébastian Wendling, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The wind increased when Jannik Roblaa made the kick off in the second half.
