Sascha Nelsen's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sascha Nelsen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hungary booed when VfL Bad Nenndorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sascha Nelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerome Herlitizius. VfL Bad Nenndorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jerome Herlitizius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VfL Bad Nenndorf's Jerome Herlitizius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save VfL Bad Nenndorf from getting a goal against them. The VfL Bad Nenndorf fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
