Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Joey Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th play minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joey Costa. 0-13. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
