Ask Stamnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Saverio Sagrario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ask Stamnes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. 30 minutes into the match, Boulogne F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Ask Stamnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Sagrario who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ask Stamnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Candido Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute of the match, Antal Valentin sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Ask Stamnes showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 48th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ask Stamnes made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 55th minute. The corner led Hungary's Katona Janos to fire away a dangerous shot which Ask Stamnes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Sagrario, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balazs Lajos got free with Ask Stamnes in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Tano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Tano took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Boros Benedek. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Modesto Tiso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Modesto Tiso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Boulogne F.C. had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
