Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Sammut started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Stars booed when Templars FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Bernt Willig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muhammad Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Sammut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Stars's Adam Seng ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Courtois. André Courtois yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Muhammad Chan came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut. But to his dismay, Jonathan Sammut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Muhammad Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Alvarenga in the 22nd minute of play. Muhammad Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Apelqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Sten Svanström got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Sammut in the 29th minute of play forced Stars's goalkeeper Muhammad Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wen Ke Yan. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Staffan Apelqvist sped through Stars's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Muhammad Chan. In the 42nd minute, Jonathan Sammut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Siong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Courtois having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Marques.

The wind increased when Jonathan Siong made the kick off in the second half. Muhammad Chan made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Adelino Marques sent off a good shot on target. Wen Ke Yan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Courtois having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Damião came free, but André Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muhammad Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Apelqvist in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Damião to maneuver through the defense. Templars FC were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Osvaldo Alvarenga took the corner. The corner led to Templars FC's Adelino Marques getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 65th minute Templars FC were awarded a corner. Osvaldo Alvarenga went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 69th minute of the match Templars FC got a corner. Stars's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osvaldo Alvarenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. André Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Siong, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rudy Chandran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Courtois having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislaw Koczara to maneuver through the defense. Ritchie Engelborgh hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Claudinei Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 83rd minute, Stanislaw Koczara fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Muhammad Chan, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Siong in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wen Ke Yan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muhammad Chan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanislaw Koczara in the 89th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Templars FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
