Ezequiel Carillanca charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Carillanca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Carillanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Izaga's late challenge caught a Zorros del Desierto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brian Izaga helped the player get up and apologised. Brian Izaga kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Lucas Jurado had several of the Magallanes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Val Mac Millan as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Mannuel Cofquecura, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Val Mac Millan was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mannuel Cofquecura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Val Mac Millan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Magallanes's zone, Mannuel Cofquecura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Val Mac Millan came out of the goal and Mannuel Cofquecura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Lucas Jurado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorros del Desierto's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Jurado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Val Mac Millan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonzalo Perl hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Mannuel Cofquecura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Magallanes's Val Mac Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Pino in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Pino in the 56th minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Val Mac Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Pino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Val Mac Millan having to interfere. When Zorros del Desierto's Lucas Jurado in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Magallanes's goalie prevented a goal. Val Mac Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Jurado in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Jurado during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Lucas Jurado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Lucas Jurado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Val Mac Millan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Jurado in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Val Mac Millan saved Magallanes from getting behind. Val Mac Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Basulto in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Camilo Pino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Escerza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonzalo Perl in the 91st minute. Mannuel Cofquecura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
