Ballet Azul's Leonel Montt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Ballet Azul from getting a goal against them. Magallanes's Val Mac Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ysidro Briones in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipo Paut to maneuver through the defense. In the 20thth minute of the game Ysidro Briones who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Magallanes's Val Mac Millan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvio Lastarria hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Gerónimo Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
