After a rather tough play, Altermundi FC's Gerónimo Galaz got a free kick in the 12th minute. Pedro Tomás Domimisse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odol Rojas in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Serafín Cossio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Tomás Domimisse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, CRUZ DEL SUR's Mónico Queirolo got control of the ball when Andolín Pumarino tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Serafín Cossio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Arriagada in the 18th minute of play forced CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Mónico Queirolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Serafín Cossio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Marcelino Friederichs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altermundi FC the free kick. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Agustín Arriagada took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mónico Queirolo to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, CRUZ DEL SUR's Mónico Queirolo got control of the ball when Modesto Malfanti tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th play minute Agustín Arriagada came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mónico Queirolo. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Modesto Malfanti made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Mac Intyre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Pedro Tomás Domimisse made a huge save. Mónico Queirolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Malfanti in the 59th minute of play. Agustín Arriagada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Tomás Domimisse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Ignacio Berguecio went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Podador Arraño's late challenge caught a Altermundi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Podador Arraño helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Podador Arraño hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Liberto Chalco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mónico Queirolo. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liberto Chalco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Liberto Chalco struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Mónico Queirolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altermundi FC. Mónico Queirolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andolín Pumarino in the 84th minute of play. José Ignacio Berguecio hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafín Cossio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Malfanti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mónico Queirolo having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the CRUZ DEL SUR players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Altermundi FC.
