Zorros del Desierto's Abelardo Escerza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. When Axel Unquera fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baez FC's protests and gave Axel Unquera a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Baez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Unquera to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Baez FC's Aristeo Vodanovic got a free kick in the 16th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 played minutes Baez FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurino Verschueren. In the 57th minute, Mannuel Cofquecura made a precise shot to the right of Severino Taylor. Baez FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 65 minutes into the match, Baez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Pino came free, but Severino Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Maurín Dagnino hit a great ball. Camilo Pino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Taylor having to interfere. Zorros del Desierto's Darien Mantilla was substituted for Camilo Pino. The supporters of Baez FC booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermenegildo Balboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Taylor made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Mannuel Cofquecura sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play.
