Vincente Felice made a great header on Snorlax FC's corner, it was just that Ballet Azul's Leonel Montt managed to reach the ball for a save. 15 minutes into the match, Ballet Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Aris came free, but Leonel Montt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Victorio Lorie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballet Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snorlax FC the free kick. In the 20th minute, Ysidro Briones made a precise shot to the right of Elizalde Aguayo. Snorlax FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 25th minute, Horacio Lanchares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elizalde Aguayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If César Balladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Montt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincente Felice in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Sebastian Piñera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ysidro Briones hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, Horacio Lanchares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Elizalde Aguayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Snorlax FC booed when Ballet Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysidro Briones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 56 minutes, Nereo Ibarguen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Snorlax FC and the Ballet Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Regino Novajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. César Balladares charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Balladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ballet Azul booed when Snorlax FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Balladares didn't get a good kick on the ball.
