In the 4th minute, Zorros del Desierto's Saturnino Albrecht dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 7 played minutes Zorros del Desierto got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Pérez. Julio Oxman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Albrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Albrecht got free with Julio Oxman in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miren Wilshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miren Wilshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Zorros del Desierto's Saturnino Albrecht slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Oxman. That made the score 5-0 after 30 minutes of play. Julio Oxman came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Simón Chavez. But to his dismay, Simón Chavez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Johnny Herrera hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Zorros del Desierto's Saturnino Albrecht got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Albrecht in the 53rd minute of play forced Saint Sophia's goalkeeper Julio Oxman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Zorros del Desierto's Saturnino Albrecht in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saint Sophia's goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th minute Zorros del Desierto were awarded a corner. Rodrigo Pérez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Zorros del Desierto's Camilo Pino to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Oxman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 58thth minute of the game Simón Chavez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saint Sophia's Julio Oxman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leopoldo Rondizzoni charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Rondizzoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zorros del Desierto booed when Saint Sophia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Rondizzoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Albrecht's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Oxman was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Rodrigo Pérez's late challenge caught a Saint Sophia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Pérez helped the player get up and apologised. Saint Sophia's Edilberto Moron was substituted for Osvaldo Gorostiaga. 64 minutes into the game, one of Zorros del Desierto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abelardo Escerza had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Miren Wilshaw's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 70th minute, Saturnino Albrecht ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Oxman was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miren Wilshaw during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Saint Sophia's Julio Oxman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Albrecht in the 82nd minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Saint Sophia's goal looked a bit too open when Mannuel Cofquecura came free, but Julio Oxman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edilberto Moron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Zorros del Desierto were the better team. Zorros del Desierto's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
