With a little luck, Baez FC's Severino Taylor got control of the ball when Francisco Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Baez FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Maurilio Mendoza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martino Goyenechea in the 30th minute of play forced CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Amato Heyboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Axel Unquera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CRUZ DEL SUR the free kick. Axel Unquera kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Jose Manuel Guilisasti fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CRUZ DEL SUR's protests and gave Jose Manuel Guilisasti a yellow card for diving instead. Severino Taylor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Cruz in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, CRUZ DEL SUR's Francisco Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Taylor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Francisco Cruz scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Taylor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Abdul Esquerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baez FC's Severino Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafín Cossio in the 59th minute of play. Amato Heyboer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurino Verschueren in the 63rd minute of play. CRUZ DEL SUR's Amato Heyboer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save CRUZ DEL SUR from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Abdul Esquerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Taylor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 78 played minutes Baez FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurilio Mendoza. When CRUZ DEL SUR's Francisco Cruz in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Baez FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Francisco Cruz took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Taylor. Severino Taylor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1.
