The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Romano Milan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mannuel Cofquecura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Basulto hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mannuel Cofquecura in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Simón Chavez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zorros del Desierto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jacinto Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Albrecht in the 30th minute of play. Jacinto Cross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mannuel Cofquecura in the 37th minute of the match. Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simón Chavez in the 42nd minute of play. Jacinto Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Albrecht in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Zorros del Desierto were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saturnino Albrecht stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Cross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Albrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes, Cosme Zurita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talcampeón FC and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Cosme Zurita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Rodrigo Pérez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorros del Desierto's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Pérez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Cross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute Romano Milan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Cross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Vladimiro Barroso got a free kick in the 58th minute. Jacinto Cross was a little too slow when Romano Milan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Talcampeón FC's zone, Saturnino Albrecht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Cross came out of the goal and Saturnino Albrecht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 minutes of play, Zorros del Desierto's Mannuel Cofquecura made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacinto Cross was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacinto Cross didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Zorros del Desierto made a substitution. Darien Mantilla replaced Romano Milan. A collision led to Talcampeón FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Naelio Marx hit a great ball.
