The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdul Esquerra got free with Julio Oxman in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adelio Quezada's late challenge caught a CRUZ DEL SUR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Paco Cabedo put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Oxman. In the 54th minute, Paco Cabedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CRUZ DEL SUR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After some careless play in the Saint Sophia defense, Francisco Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Oxman. The Saint Sophia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Oxman should have stopped the shot. The CRUZ DEL SUR fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when CRUZ DEL SUR's Paco Cabedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Francisco Cruz struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Julio Oxman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRUZ DEL SUR. After 67 minutes, Paco Cabedo made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Saint Sophia's Julio Oxman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Oxman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Cabedo in the 71st minute of play. Ferrán Casas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Julio Oxman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRUZ DEL SUR. Julio Oxman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Cabedo in the 74th minute of the match. CRUZ DEL SUR were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Saint Sophia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. J.P. Cruz took the corner. When Abdul Esquerra fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CRUZ DEL SUR's protests and gave Abdul Esquerra a yellow card for diving instead. Abdul Esquerra kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Cruz in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Oxman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CRUZ DEL SUR had played much better football throughout.
