José Francisco Maffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballet Azul getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ferrán Sarratea hit a great ball. Ballet Azul's Leonel Montt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Barria in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Horacio Lanchares notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Talcampeón FC's Jacinto Cross. Jacinto Cross was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Talcampeón FC made a substitution. Clemente Disselkoen replaced Nestor Barria. Victorio Lorie kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Leonel Montt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Fevre in the 37th minute of play. Alvino Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferrán Sarratea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Horacio Lanchares kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Clemente Disselkoen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Montt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Talcampeón FC's Clemente Disselkoen got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Horacio Lanchares fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballet Azul's protests and gave Horacio Lanchares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ballet Azul's Horacio Lanchares got a free kick in the 57th minute. Clemente Disselkoen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Montt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Disselkoen in the 66th minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper Leonel Montt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ferrán Sarratea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Talcampeón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernán Parga to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th match minute, Ballet Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Farren to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Andrés Villaseñor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Ferrán Sarratea came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ballet Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferrán Sarratea couldn't finish the play. The Ballet Azul support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
