Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Elear Pedemonte came free, but Samuel Benavente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inocente Luna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Arcadio Saralegui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altermundi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arcadio Saralegui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Benavente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Inocente Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arcadio Saralegui's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuel Benavente firmly grabbed it by the left post. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxi López to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Agustín Arriagada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Benavente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, C.A. Liberto Chalco scored 4-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Benavente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Agustín Arriagada made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Benavente. C.A. Peñarol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Samuel Benavente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Manuel Barbosa in the 96th minute of play.
