Jose Manuel Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Val Mac Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altermundi FC. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Luis Johnson got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Huaiquiman in the 19th minute of play forced Magallanes's goalkeeper Val Mac Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victoriano Paillemil in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rollo Duguid prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elear Pedemonte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Altermundi FC's Rollo Duguid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Altermundi FC from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Manuel Barbosa made a kick off. Rollo Duguid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Kowalesko, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of Altermundi FC booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Kowalesko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magallanes's Gerónimo Brito was substituted for Honorio Kowalesko. Magallanes made a substitution. Emilio Formoso replaced Lino Bombal. When Julio Huaiquiman came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Altermundi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Huaiquiman couldn't finish the play. Magallanes's Val Mac Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Arriagada in the 70th minute of play. Jose Manuel Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Alberto Tassara hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Rollo Duguid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selmo Scholtzl in the 72nd minute of play. Val Mac Millan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Huaiquiman in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Manuel Barbosa came free, but Val Mac Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disvandis Fabres kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Magallanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliverio Boonen to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Altermundi FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
