In the 27th match minute, Baez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Unquera to maneuver through the defense. Severino Taylor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inocencio Christie in the 28th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Zorros del Desierto got a corner. Baez FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Inocencio Christie ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Zorros del Desierto's Vladimiro Barroso getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Severino Taylor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romano Milan in the 46th minute. If Maurino Verschueren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurín Dagnino was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martino Goyenechea got free with Jasone Ovando in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severino Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mannuel Cofquecura, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Romano Milan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zorros del Desierto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romano Milan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mannuel Cofquecura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Severino Taylor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurilio Mendoza during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maurilio Mendoza hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Zorros del Desierto's Toma Hawk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Toma Hawk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zorros del Desierto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Toma Hawk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Zorros del Desierto's Toma Hawk got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes Baez FC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Valenzuela. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mannuel Cofquecura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zorros del Desierto's supporters rose to their feet, but Mannuel Cofquecura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Taylor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Vladimiro Barroso hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Maurín Dagnino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zorros del Desierto's Jasone Ovando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Zorros del Desierto from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, Axel Unquera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Inocencio Christie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Taylor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severino Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mannuel Cofquecura, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Zorros del Desierto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
