Zhuo Xuan Yu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Grzegorz Bierfass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariasz Dudkowski having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CRUZ DEL SUR's zone, Grzegorz Bierfass stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachariasz Dudkowski came out of the goal and Grzegorz Bierfass tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Zachariasz Dudkowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Inter de Chillán's Grzegorz Bierfass got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zhuo Xuan Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Grzegorz Bierfass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariasz Dudkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tobías Izamit hit a great ball. Zhuo Xuan Yu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Lin Zhen's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. CRUZ DEL SUR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronnie Odell in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pan Lin Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the CRUZ DEL SUR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pan Lin Zhen couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Erserman came free, but Zachariasz Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Eladio Araujo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zachariasz Dudkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inter de Chillán fans cheered their team off the field, for while CRUZ DEL SUR had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
