Nahuel Catrileo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nahuel Catrileo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eladio Escalona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Utrera in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Rubén Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nahuel Catrileo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theobald Sadin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avram Chițac kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Rubén Martínez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nahuel Catrileo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. C.F. Leftraro's Nahuel Catrileo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Martínez in the 29th minute of play. Colo-Colo's attentive Marco-Antonio Etcheverry managed to snatch the ball when Chico Ernesti made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. After 31 minutes of play, Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nahuel Catrileo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nahuel Catrileo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco-Antonio Etcheverry in the 36th minute. Rubén Martínez took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nahuel Catrileo. Nahuel Catrileo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 41 played minutes Colo-Colo got a freekick which was hit by Marco-Antonio Etcheverry. 44 minutes into the match, C.F. Leftraro's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Nahuel Catrileo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nahuel Catrileo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lautaro Millanao made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rubén Martínez made a precise shot to the right of Nahuel Catrileo. C.F. Leftraro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.F. Leftraro's goalkeeper Nahuel Catrileo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nahuel Catrileo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Droguett, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Nahuel Catrileo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Martínez in the 66th minute of play. C.F. Leftraro's Jonatán Gebler was substituted for Theobald Sadin. C.F. Leftraro's Patricio Trucco was substituted for Lautaro Millanao. After 69 minutes C.F. Leftraro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Honorio Droguett who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rubén Martínez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nahuel Catrileo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rubén Martínez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nahuel Catrileo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute Rubén Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nahuel Catrileo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén Martínez scored 6-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nahuel Catrileo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colo-Colo's Jerzy Smolak was substituted for Tomislav Parev. Colo-Colo made a substitution. Emerson Pereira replaced José Julio Almeida. If Pablo Solari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colo-Colo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
