With an all-out effort, Baez FC's Nedas Gol threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thalis Papazisis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Saint Sophia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nedas Gol should have stopped the shot. Kiliz Gonzáles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Horacio Jesus Carvallo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Saint Sophia defense, Danilo Zárate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nedas Gol. The Saint Sophia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nedas Gol should have stopped the shot. Thalis Papazisis took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nedas Gol. Nedas Gol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. Conrado Velez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Jesus Carvallo having to interfere. Nedas Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thalis Papazisis in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Baez FC had played much better football throughout.
