Nedas Gol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerónimo Molina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerónimo Molina might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nedas Gol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerónimo Molina ran back to his position shaking his head. Nedas Gol made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Gerónimo Molina sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saint Sophia's goalkeeper Nedas Gol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerónimo Molina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nedas Gol having to make a save. In the 14th minute Gerónimo Molina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nedas Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Gerónimo Molina took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Nedas Gol to make any attempt to save it. After 20 minutes of play, C.A. Peñarol's Gerónimo Molina made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nedas Gol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pau Soupper hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Nedas Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerónimo Molina in the 30th minute of play. Xaiver Rosende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiliz Gonzáles in the 34th minute of the match. Nedas Gol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerónimo Molina in the 35th minute. If Gerónimo Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nedas Gol made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Gerónimo Molina sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kiliz Gonzáles was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Gerónimo Molina put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nedas Gol. Eleuterio Loyola hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. C.A. Peñarol's Gerónimo Molina got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Saint Sophia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Marinkovic to maneuver through the defense. If Gerónimo Molina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Gerónimo Molina notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol. Nedas Gol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerónimo Molina scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nedas Gol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Estebano Levenier hit a great ball. C.A. Peñarol made a substitution. Anselmo Velin replaced Gerónimo Molina. In the 76th minute, Estebano Levenier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Velin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Velin in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nedas Gol saved Saint Sophia from getting behind. When Anselmo Velin came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the C.A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Velin couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute Anselmo Velin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nedas Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Anselmo Velin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nedas Gol. Saint Sophia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Velin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Nedas Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Velin, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to C.A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Menéndez Mallea hit a great ball. C.A. Peñarol's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
