The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nedas Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Fritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Lolo Acharan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Saint Sophia's Luciano Dunn got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Lolo Acharan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nedas Gol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nedas Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Fritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Jose Maria Letelier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nedas Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20th play minutes Lolo Acharan shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Nedas Gol and just under the crossbar into goal. Saturnino Payten kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Nedas Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Vidma in the 30th minute of the match. The Saint Sophia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nedas Gol should have stopped the shot. Lolo Acharan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nedas Gol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saint Sophia! 46 minutes into the match, Mikel Señoret notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol. Nedas Gol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Saint Sophia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Talcampeón FC were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lolo Acharan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Marcelino Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nedas Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nedas Gol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikel Señoret in the 55th minute. With his leg Nedas Gol managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Talcampeón FC's Mikel Señoret fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute, Lolo Acharan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nedas Gol. The goal made the score 0-6. Nedas Gol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Román Ahrens, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, Talcampeón FC's Nedas Gol threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Román Ahrens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol got control of the ball when Lolo Acharan tried to sneak it across the goal line.
