In the 15th minute Celso Harriet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Wilfredo Pabla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes of play, La Banda del Tinto's Jacinto Pancho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Salvatore was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pedro Rojelio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A hard and well directed shot from Celso Harriet led 33 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. 38 minutes into the game, Celso Harriet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melquiades Salvatore. Celso Harriet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Severino Huly's late challenge caught a La Banda del Tinto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Huly helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Pancho made a kick off. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Samuel Erruki fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Banda del Tinto's protests and gave Samuel Erruki a yellow card for diving instead. Wilfredo Pabla kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Generoso Nabar was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Donato Nalo. La Banda del Tinto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
