The referee ignored La Banda del Tinto's protests and gave Albano Rutenio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Albano Rutenio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 minutes, Romeo Berriotxoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Banda del Tinto and the Matheu City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Banda del Tinto's Romeo Berriotxoa got a free kick in the 6th minute. Minas Makris struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Peyo Kaadekilde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matheu City FC. Sixto Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Peyo Kaadekilde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Salgado scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peyo Kaadekilde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Minas Makris took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peyo Kaadekilde. Peyo Kaadekilde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 33rd match minute, La Banda del Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Berriotxoa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to La Banda del Tinto getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Albano Rutenio hit a great ball. If Philipp Lahm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Matheu City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Leoiar to maneuver through the defense. Minas Makris hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Leoiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philipp Lahm. In the 44th minute, Celedonio Bernebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A sloppy throw-in by Victor Salomon in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Banda del Tinto's Celedonio Bernebe. The supporters of La Banda del Tinto booed when Matheu City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Gaufred didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Mon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Peyo Kaadekilde made a huge save. Peyo Kaadekilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Minas Makris in the 57th minute of the match. Victor Salomon charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Salomon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Victor Salomon kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, La Banda del Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Bernebe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Vase in the 71st minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Leoiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Matheu City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After 92 played minutes La Banda del Tinto got a freekick which was hit by Albano Rutenio. The Matheu City FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
