Rosendo Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Orlanda having to interfere. Marcos Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Albano Orlanda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albano Orlanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Chivos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Erramu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Edgard Barros made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abel Iban immediately put the ball in play. Albano Orlanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Cutberto in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes Chivos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Berdoi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi to fire away a dangerous shot which Albano Orlanda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Santos Oskitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Orlanda was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 23rdth minute of the game Abel Iban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivos's Albano Orlanda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Eustaquio Jaizki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Orlanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Germano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Uchiha in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Barros to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Rosendo Cutberto got a free kick in the 36th minute. Eustaquio Jaizki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes, Abel Iban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Chivos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abel Iban kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Marcos Berdoi made the kick off in the second half. Edgard Barros made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Abel Iban. Carlos Cordearo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Carlos Germano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Carlos Germano came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos's Fidel Uchiha. But to his dismay, Fidel Uchiha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Fidel Uchiha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Jaizki in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albano Orlanda saved Chivos from getting behind. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Uchiha, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Fidel Uchiha came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Chivos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Uchiha couldn't finish the play. Fidel Uchiha struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Uchiha in the 79th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Uchiha in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Chivos got a corner. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jacobo Deunoro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Cayetano Acuña heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Fidel Uchiha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chivos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Uchiha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Germano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atlético Atlanta were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
