In the 11th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Uxio to maneuver through the defense. Zaccheo Andolina scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olavo Henriques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 28th minute of the match. Geronimo Salomone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Racing Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eriberto Kimetz in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Henriques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Italy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Racing Club's Olavo Henriques got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Racing Club's Fernandinho Rivera was substituted for Geronimo Salomone. After 62 minutes of play, Racing Club's Fernandinho Rivera made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Curto, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
