Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcus Paes started the match with the kick off. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Marcus Paes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Jerome Rohrer. But to his dismay, Jerome Rohrer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Leonardo Guerra hit a great ball. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 36th minute of the match. Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jovens Democratas MZC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Felipe Barreto placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerome Rohrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 58th minute, Chiquinho das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Viriato Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jovens Democratas MZC's Laerte Bittencourt was substituted for Valdir Miranda. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Dalmo Saldanha threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viriato Moura, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With his leg Dalmo Saldanha managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 73rd minute of the match, Felipe Barreto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dalmo Saldanha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dalmo Saldanha stood somewhat misplaced when Viriato Moura came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 73 minute. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipinho Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Graciano Coutinho hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Lenzi in the 86th minute of play. If Dobromir Zagrodny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Lenzi's shot from short distance in the 87th minute.
