Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Frank Sachs got the match started through his kick off. Adib Ovi hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Ulrich Stein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Ulrich Stein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiger De Hond got free with Tommy Kahn in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Tiger De Hond sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Tiger De Hond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Mauro Primeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Mauro Primeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauro Primeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Bartosz Erland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartosz Erland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julien-Nils Trede took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Germany booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Bal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horst-Peter Unterberger was slow to take the kick. During this time Poli Timisoara's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Horst-Peter Unterberger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mauro Primeiro struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ovidiu Adrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Erland in the 33rd minute of play. Poli Timisoara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Horst-Peter Unterberger in the 35th minute. A nice corner shot did that Horst-Peter Unterberger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute of the match, Bartosz Erland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiger De Hond in the 43rd minute.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Primeiro was the one to do the kick off. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartosz Erland in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Julien-Nils Trede. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Ovidiu Adrian when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Poli Timisoara's Mauro Primeiro in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger De Hond in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Mauro Primeiro notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Horst-Peter Unterberger made in the 68th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sascha Kulovitz. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartosz Erland, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Primeiro went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ovidiu Adrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Mauro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartosz Erland in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Tiger De Hond struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. In the 88th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horst-Peter Unterberger to maneuver through the defense. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiger De Hond in the 93rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Primeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Poli Timisoara.
