Lyle Coppack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siricio Liotta struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Lyle Coppack didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Lyle Coppack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 27th minute of play forced Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lyle Coppack was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Lyle Coppack. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Sigfrido Auletta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Siricio Liotta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lyle Coppack skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Italy were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. Lyle Coppack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Italy's Eliseo Cutri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lyle Coppack in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lyle Coppack narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Zaccheo Andolina came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaccheo Andolina couldn't finish the play. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Adrián-Daniel Dobre replaced Ferdinand Zmărăndache. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Eusebiu Ipătescu was substituted for Mihăiţă Stolniceanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mei in the 68th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Ipătescu in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute of the match, Porziano Marchitelli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lyle Coppack was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Mei in the 78th minute of play. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mei in the 80th minute of play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. After taking down the ball on Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's corner Ediberto de Queirós fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Vittori quite easily take care of the ball. In the 84th minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Curto in the 86th minute of play. Lyle Coppack was a little too slow when Adriano Curto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-4. The throw-in from Patrik De Roost in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Guiscardo Davide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lyle Coppack made a huge save. 92 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guiscardo Davide. In the 94th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zena Busacca to maneuver through the defense.
