Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sandro Galishoff took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Leonhard Maier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonhard Maier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Guga Souto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Guga Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabio Schneider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Schneider in the 14th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Paulo José Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelsinho Lima hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Sandro Galishoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Fontes came out of the goal and Sandro Galishoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Austria's Jonas Nalder got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Marvin Harrer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Fontes came out of the goal and Marvin Harrer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Flávio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Flávio Dionísio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Fabio Auer made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Guga Souto sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Guga Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zé Pedro da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Fabio Auer made a huge save. Fabio Auer made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Guga Souto sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Fabio Auer managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Goiás Esporte Clube's Guga Souto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Guga Souto made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Austria's Marvin Harrer got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Fabio Schneider blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo José Fontes having to make a save. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo José Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Schneider in the 62nd minute. Zé Pedro da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Flávio Dionísio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fabio Auer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonhard Maier to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Dracena. Jonas Nalder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Paulo José Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Auer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Dionísio in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Galishoff to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Schneider recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flávio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goiás Esporte Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Austria for a fine match.
